2 Month in Dish Hospitality…

So Dish is now 2 months in!, Wow, how time flies, and how things have developed in just 2 short months. August had the Eat Out to Help Out, which really did boost the whole industry & helped Dish launch in a buoyant market, to a few short months later areas of hospitality are having to take the hit from the Covid spike, in an industry that has done more than most to create a safe environment for customers.

The reaction from chefs & managers I have been speaking to has been to continue evolving, moving & creating new and inventive ways to keep going & to keep offering a service that the whole industry can be proud of.

So, how has this affected Dish? We are learning to evolve, which we will all have to do as an industry in these uncertain times. We have created a 3 month rolling temp to perm style payment plan, we can now offer a lower starting % rate for perm recruitment, low cost temp solutions & a new subscription style partnership for larger recruitment drives.

We have been working even harder on our ‘shortlisting’ approach to providing our clients options for each position & generally being willing to evolve how we work through consultations with our clients.

The entrepreneurial spirit is still there and great to see, from independent chefs in Scotland central belt looking to open new venues in the coming weeks & months, to a pub group buying up pubs in North Yorkshire and creating multiple jobs, & a chef who could not find work in Malton so created his own outside catering business delivering stunning hand crafted pasta & Italian food.

The collective spirit of both the recruitment & hospitality sector is optimistic & looking to a brighter future once we are through these latest restrictions & eventually a more settled 2021, NYE 2020 is going to be some party, socially distanced of course!!!!
